First test in K series, warmup run, cold heater
Large White Birch, 20% moisture
6 pieces, 4.5 lbs kindling
Cold heater, warm fuel, warm kindling
Pieces stacked in order of weight, with heaviest on bottom. Average piece weight 10.1 lbs
Kindling stacked in 3 stages, with newspaper in between, and on top. Lit from top. 12 pc newspaper total.
Slow start because of cold heater. Will try to repeat identical run tomorrow with warm heater.
Error - grate air control was closed for the whole run.
