Below are selected photographs and an introductory paragraph describing an oven built in 2008 by  Russian Stove builder Alexander F. Batsulin.

This is a variety of russian oven. The main advantage is that all surfaces are heated. In traditional style it heats only above hearth.

The wood is burning in the firebox, gases going up under the vault. After gases go down through side holes in the hearth to the lower chamber. The most cold gases go in to the chimney.

If heater is using this way the mouth of the upper chember must be closed. it is possible to burn heater in traditional manner, but in this case lower part will be cold.

These type of heater named "Teplushka" and it was developed in 1920's by engineer Podgorodnikov I.S.
