The intention of this page is to give by use of scale footprint models, an idea of the possibilities, regarding the orientation of a masonry heater and Finnish style cookstove, in a heater/cookstove combination.
1) All below examples are based on a standard model for both heater and cookstove. The footprint of a custom designed heater may be radically different to any of the indicated examples.
2) All examples use a 16" by 20" single flue chimney. However it is considered that a separate chimney flue for each appliance is preferable. This would mean the chimney dimension increasing depending upon the orientation of the flue tiles within its brick wrap.
